This is the website for FLASHBACK based out of Morrilton, AR. All the information you need to know will be noted in detail in this area. Be sure to check back frequently for updates and new information on FLASHBACK !Johnny Wiedower joined his first band in 1969 which became "Sage". He played with them until 1975 when he had to grow up and join the real world, which he did for about 25 years. In 1998 he began playing with a Christian rock band which rekindled the fire. After joining in with a loose coalition of local musicians at a weekly jam session, he and some others formed "CC Crossfire". When the band dis-banded, Johnny began looking for guys to start a new band. Flashback has been playing together for about two years. Mike Fleeman grew up in Memphis and was in his first band when he was about 12 years old. The Memphis influence is evident in his guitar playing. He was in a band called "Westt" playing the Memphis club scene until about 1983. Mike moved west to Arkansas and joined "The Riedmueller Brothers". They played nearly every weekend for 23 years. They needed a keyboard player, so rather than recruit one, Mike learned the keyboard. He plays guitar and keyboard in "Flashback". The Riedmueller Brothers retired in 2006, and Mike along with them...for a little less than one year. What do you call someone that hangs around musicians? No, not a groupie, a drummer! Bart Virden was musically trained as a classical Irish harpist. A constant "sore back" convinced him he needed to change instruments. After a brief fling with the tin whistle, he started playing the drums. Actually, he has been a frustrated drummer for years. After buying a set of Roland Drums (electronic so he could play with headphones at the request of his family), he was asked by Mike if he would like to try playing in a band. The newly formed band that would become Flashback had a drummer that couldn't be there all the time and they were looking. After learning the type of music they would be playing, He jumped at the chance and they have been nice enough to let him stay around. Paul Browning has played with "Lipskid", "Unplug and run", "Staged In" and now FLASHBACK. So, this is the first band he has been in whose name made any sense at all. His first band was made up of guys who, like Paul, were volunteer firemen. They kept getting called out when they tried to practice. He played with his last band for about 5 years. Some of his earlier groups dipped into the country music scene, but now he has found a group that fits with his classic rock and blues preferences. He also wants you to know most of the stuff about Bart is not true.
